Abstaining from Meat on Fridays

Remember the days of no meat on Friday? They are a tiny penance for us in honor to Jesus for dying on the cross on Good Friday. The church asks that we do something, so my wife and I continue to not eat meat on Friday’s. It seems not like very much, we owe our very lives to Him. Please join us in doing this for His honor.

Praise be to Jesus! Praise be to the Father! Praise be to the Holy Spirit! Three persons, One God. Thank you Jesus for dying such an ignominious death for love of us. Thank you for my wife. Thank you for our faith. Thank you for all the faithful priests and laity. Thank you for giving us your Body and Blood as true food, food that is You, your very body, blood, soul and divinity.  Praise you Jesus for all your holy angels and saints. Praise you Jesus for all the holy souls in purgatory – they know they will be with you. Thank you for my guardian angel. Thank you for giving to me St. Joseph to teach me how to be a true man, one that God is pleased with. O Lord Jesus, thank you.

Eternal Father, I offer you the most precious blood of your son Jesus, in union with all the masses said throughout the world today, for all the holy souls in purgatory, for sinners everywhere, for sinners in the universal church, for those in my home and those in my family. Amen.

Praise you Jesus!
