Praise You Jesus!

Lord Jesus, Praise your Holy Name! Praise you Jesus, in your mother, Our Lady of Fatima, Our Lady of the Rosary. All glory and honor and praise belongs to You Lord Jesus.

Today is 100 years to the day after the first apparition of Our Lady to the three children in Fatima, Portugal. Oh how sad the ‘lady from heaven’ appeared to the children. Children, will you be willing to suffer for the Gospel, Mary is asking of them. They could but say yes. They had faith. They were brought up in faith. They practiced their faith.

Well 100 years later, are we in better shape than in 1917? Sure we have better knowledge of the body and of health and of ‘technology’. However are we in better shape? Do we have more faith, more love for God and neighbor, more of Jesus in our lives? Well, the answer is obvious, on a whole, no. There are pockets and groups, congregations and individuals and parishes that can answer yes, but on the whole, no. Do we spend more time in prayer or watching the news and mindless shows, which consists of death and rape and murder and killings and tearing down of our President, and putting down Catholic Faith and belief in God? Do we read more about Jesus and our Catholic Faith, or watch more movies cannot help us get to heaven – mere stories from the minds of men and women, many with the idea to undermine God and especially the Catholic Church? Oh Lord, bring us true immersion in your Sacred Heart. Lord Jesus help me turn to you more and more.

We love our 40 hour work week, making others rich while trying to get ahead ourselves, but we forget that when everyone were farmers, that there were intense periods of work, say for instance while sowing seeds, and reaping the harvest, yet there was many times when the work was not intense and the lives of the people were not stressed by constant deadlines.

Lord Jesus, You are the Way, You are the Truth, You are the Life. Please I ask of You to bring me closer to you each day. I ask Our Lady of Fatima to pray for me, to point to Jesus and to guide me.

Jesus, give to us a love for your Blessed Mother, and her rosary.
