Holiness

Holiness unto Jesus. Holiness unto you Lord. Holiness. Lord Jesus you asked us to be holy for you are holy, as Peter when speaking about obedience writes in 1 Peter 1 15:16: “but, as he who called you is holy, be holy yourselves in every aspect of your conduct, 16for it is written, “Be holy because I [am] holy.”
Lord Jesus, it is your grace given to us that can transform our lives into being holy. Praise you Jesus for giving this grace, all we need to do is cooperate with it.

What is this holiness? The Catholic Dictionary states “Holiness in creatures is either subjective or objective or both. It is subjective essentially by the possession of divine grace and morally by the practice of virtue.”

Lord Jesus, make us holy give us the strength to practice virtue in our lives. Oh Lord that you would strengthen us with heroic virtue, like the three seers of the apparition of Fatima, two of which, Jacinta and Francisco, have just been declared Saints.

Saint Jacinta and Saint Francisco, pray for us that we may have heroic virtue like yourselves and be holy, as God who calls us to himself is holy.

Praise you Jesus, Praise your holy name!
